Purpose

Strength has no measure without a burden to hold,
The will has no object; a sheep lost from its fold.
The mind has no measure without a problem to solve,
The wits wander witless; each puzzle dark, unresolved.

I had no measure 'till heaven gave me to hold,
Children like stars in a black sky to behold.
Now like the winds all my strength, and mind and resolve,
I gather to hold to my purpose as the bright heavens revolve.

David, is this your own work? I love it! Children like stars in a black sky - I love it. On my blog you can only find bad poetry.

Come see our parade pictures, I think you'll be amused.

Hey, come on by the ol' blog. I have two posts up about CP, one of which might help you with therapy approaches for your son, depending on where he's at. I am so exciting by Hannah crawling that I am having trouble not shouting it from the rooftops.

Hi Ginger,
I will stop by in a bit. Just got in from work and still have one child to put to sleep - she shows no signs of tiring yet.

This is beautiful, David. I am going to print it out and post it on my computer, for inspiration.
